There are not one, not two
but three ladies in the race to play the lead in Toilet: Ek Prem Katha director
Shree Narayan Singh’s next. In contention for the part are Katrina Kaif,
Shraddha Kapoor and Vaani Kapoor. Katrina has already been approached. In
fact, Prernaa Arora of KriArj Films (makers of Roshni), is very keen on
Katrina. She was given a narration of the script before she left for Los
Angeles earlier this month.

has heard that Shree has met Shraddha Kapoor to discuss the gritty drama. In
fact, they have had a couple of meetings to discuss Roshni. Shree wants to stay
true to his style of filmmaking, and do justice to the milieu it’s set in. He
feels that Shraddha might just fit the bill.

But Kat will of course bring a huge star value
to the film and increase it’s brand value. Hence, Shree is keeping his options
open.
In the midst of meetings and narrations, a
third name is doing the rounds...that of actress Vaani Kapoor. We have learnt
through reliable sources that the YRF protégé is also in the running for this
role.

Tentatively titled Roshni, the film is a gritty
story of a lawyer who takes up arms against power distribution companies,
because of whom consumers have had to pay inflated electricity
bills.
